The Retreat
Join your hosts, Lauren and Selma, and renowned knitting designer and teacher, Bristol Ivy, for 3+ days and 3 nights of knitting and hiking at Ghost Ranch near Abiquiu, New Mexico. Our retreat can accommodate approximately 20 knitting hikers (or strolling knitters). You need not hike to join us. Ghost Ranch, a 21,000 acre education and retreat center in northern New Mexico, is nestled in an extraordinary landscape of multilayered sandstone cliffs, desert hills, and mesas known as Georgia O’Keefe country, where the famous painter lived and painted.
Bristol will teach three classes — the Winterlong Cowl (which also will be our retreat project), Short Rows, and Slip It, Float It, Tuck It, an exploration of slipped stitches. Lauren and another guide will lead optional daily hikes (easy and/or moderate) on the Ranch and in the Piedra Lumbre Valley or surrounding area. We also will enjoy relaxed knitting and social time.
The registration fee for the retreat is all-inclusive for three nights lodging, all meals from lunch on Sunday through lunch on Wednesday, afternoon snacks and beverages, knitting classes, guided hikes, and a swag bag of knitting treasures.

The September retreat is sold out. You can add your name to the waiting list by emailing your name and room preference to knittingnewmexico@gmail.com. If you want to be on the list for a shared room with a knitting roommate, please also provide your roommate’s name.
For the October retreat, please email knittingnewmexico@gmail.com to be entered in the registration lottery. In the email you must list the space you want to register for (single, double with a non-knitting companion, or double with a knitting roommate). If you want to attend with a knitting roommate, you must provide your roommate’s name. You will receive an email confirming that you are in the lottery. The lottery will close and names will be drawn on May 11 at 4:00 p.m. MDT.
Refund Policy: Payment in full is due with registration. If you must cancel for any reason, we will refund your payment only if we can fill your vacancy.
